Burghley HomebrewNotes from the brewhouse

Write to the desk

One mailbox, read by people who actually brew, answered during ordinary weekdays.

An envelope rests beside an inked fountain pen on a blotter beside parcels ready for posting.
Post arrives daily; the slower channel genuinely still works fine.

01 The address and what reaches us

One address serves everything: [email protected]. Letters about stubborn brews, challenges to published guidance, rights requests and occasional kind remarks land together, which keeps replies human and occasionally charmingly mixed up in interesting ways.

Mark subjects clearly whenever speed matters: brewing question, correction, advertising, permissions. Replies leave in arrival order across working weekdays, complicated questions travel toward whichever desk member argues least about fermentation that particular morning, and complicated disagreements occasionally mature into published corrections credited generously thereafter.

Everything readers send stays between sender and desk unless a reply seems worth sharing anonymously inside a future piece; privacy never becomes a bargaining chip around here.
